Our Story

After 13 years, teaching art in a New York City public middle school, and having a great time doing it, I decided to take my classroom on the road! Now I am pleased to host your painting party.
 
My first painting party was hosted at my home for my daughter‘s eighth birthday. The kids and I had such an amazing and creative experience that I wanted to continue the party.  So I began hosting events in local parks, which turned out to be just as exhilarating. Now I enjoy hosting public and private events for adults and children in public parks and private homes and venues. 
 

Planning your painting party is made easy with Shellstar studio by your side. We provide tablecloths, aprons, paint, easels, canvases, paint brushes and more; essentially all that you need to enjoy a fun and relaxing worry-free painting party.

PAINT

Relax while an entertaining lead artist guides you through your masterpiece.  Each composition has techniques taught throughout the process, while each participating artist chooses their own style to make each painting unique.  Individuality is encouraged at Shell Star Studio!

SIP

Sipping is part of the fun! So is snacking. Bring your favorite appetizers and drinks to enjoy them while you paint at public park events.  For events at private venues that sell food and drinks, no outside food or drinks are permitted.

PARTY

It’s always more fun to paint with friends. Bring your boyfriend, girlfriend, best friends, new friends, old friends. Bring the gang! But remember to make reservations because these events DO sell out and it’s not fun to be left out of the party.
