Kicking off the season with Morning at the Marsh\, a warm toned atmospheric landscape\, focussing on a beautiful silhouette of a heron\, peacefully perched atop a piling\, inspired by the wildlife found in our own salt marsh here in Marine Park. Simple steps layer to create this complex composition through a limited pallet.  This tranquil take on the natural world reminds us that we are lucky to live in this beautiful world. Let it inspire us to celebrate and create. \n$35 per artist to participate in this event. Each participating artist will receive everything they need to create their masterpiece that they can take home and display proudly. \nBeverages will not be provided\, so please bring your own. \nJoin us in Marine Park @ Stuart Street and Avenue T\, you can find us under the shade of the large tree\, painting\, relaxing\, and soaking up the summer sun! \nGreat News: Events are now Rain or Shine! \nThe Gather Inn Again on Gerritsen Avenue has graciously opened their doors to us if rain is scheduled for the date of the event. DESCRIPTION:Fun in the Sun: Kids’ paint and snack in Marine Park! \nBring the kids out to join the party in Marine Park and paint this fun and summery beach scene.  Kids will follow simple steps to paint this nautical still-life with flowing water.  While children enjoy creative time with friends outdoors in our beautiful park\, they also learn and practice many acrylic painting techniques. This composition offers opportunities to blend\, layer and mix colors to build this beautiful beach painting. \nYour young artists will surprise themselves with their ability to paint this cheery\, summer setting of flip flops in the sand with the help of clear and patient guidance from the lead artist. This composition is great for all ages\, 5 up to adults\, because it offers a lot of flexibility\, and provides opportunities to practice many techniques creating the different textures found in this beautiful composition. \nKids will be proud to display their vibrant canvas paintings of this fun and energetic ocean scene.  In Marine Park @ Stuart Street and Avenue T.  You can find us under the shade of the big tree\, painting\, snacking\, and soaking up the sunshine! All participants enjoy a snack and a (juice box or water) while they paint.

We look forward to many amazing events to come! \nTo start the festivities off\, let’s paint Sunrise Over the Sea\, a modern take on the classic sunrise painting that has inspired so many artists before. The radiating  composition juxtaposes warm\, cool\, and neutral color schemes in a fun and playful abstraction. It’s so much fun to paint this stylized homage to summer and the sea\, as we celebrate the season in our beach community. \nTake it easy\, while we provide paints\, canvas\, brushes\, essentially everything you need to enjoy a creative night out. Helpful hints and tricks help every artist create their best painting and then take home their pièce de résistance to proudly display. \nBring your favorite sips and snacks\, invite your friends and make a party of it!
